Small milkcartons

Small milkcartons

I made these 2 last night. I really love the distress ink on the light teal cardstock and how it turned out. I didnt want to close the Black one up proper cause the Babyblue one turned out a bit tacky with the bow. The Black one also has 2 small beads I bought at Hobbycraft in Maidstone. The Babyblue one just has 3 punched out stars and a bit of string I had laying around at home.

1, 2, 3 box

1, 2, 3 box

So I spent most of my Friday folding boxes and trying different things out. The distress ink on the white bits was a tad of a fail, it just made it grey and weird instead of oldish. I also cut one of the flaps a tad short which was a tad of fail aswell. But it turned out like a nice box atleast. I like the size of it, Its 2 inches x 3 inches and 1 inch wide, so kinda like a playingcard box. The Blue cardstock is just dome cheap paper Ive picked up somewhere, its not canvased like the ones I like. I think this is gonna be a useful size for diffrent small things.

Popup Box Card

Popup Box Card

I found the tutorial for Box Cards the other day and Ive made 2 diffrent prototypes of just printingpaper so far, this is the first base I made out of real cardstock. Its a Brown basebit with Babyblue bits on. The edges of the Babyblue has been brushed with Distress ink to make it look a tad aged. Im planning on making this a birthdaycard with a bit of an oldish look.

Will post more as it comes along. My thought is to make my christmascards in this style aswell.

Perlerbead backpack decoration

Perlerbead backpack decoration

I saw this tutorial on how to make a pearlerbead kawaii milkcarton, so I made one! Attached it to my backpack with some doubleside sticky tape and a safteypin. It lasted a day, When I got home from work it wasnt on my backpack anymore.

So I thought about what would be nicer to have so I found the pattern for this oh so cute Ramenbowl, with the kawaii pink cheeks and everything. To not drop it this time Ive stich it on my backpack with some ordinary thread thru all the holes in the outline. So far its still on there atleast.

What I used was Hamabeads, Black, Brown, Orange, Yellow, Red, Babyblue and Pink.
The pattern I used can be found all over the internet, just google it.

Failed artproject

Place your head on my beating heart - Ed Sheeran

So much went wrong with this project, the stencil itself was a bit too dirty with the lettering. My plan was to make two stencils and cover up the cutouts from the letters, but I forgot, or didnt want to in the end. Then I just thought lets go for it, spray it on there. So I did and it took me about 4 seconds and its 4 seconds and a canvas wasted.

I should have taken more time with the stencil and with the painting. I still find lettering hard when I make stencils so I really need to pratice more of that.

I couldnt even be arsed with removing the adhesive when taking the picture.

Piratechest

Folded Piratechest!

So I wanted do make a project that was a fancy box cause I wanted to give away candies as a gift but I also wanted it to be a thank you card. I found the print out for this piratechest and printed a copy at work, folded up and it looked perfect. I sized it up by 50% from the original and it fitted my needs. The printingpaper at work was a bit flimsy so i decided to cut everything out in cardstock and paste together and then fold. That was a kinda bad idea thou cause I did it the wrong way, I should have made the box of the black and cut out panels of brown on instead of cutting holes in the black and panel the brown from the inside. It cracked a lot and needed more glue and in the end I just modpodged over everything to seal it and let it dry for days, therefor the lid is not in the picture cause it drying in the background.

Overall Im kinda pleased with how it came out, I would have done it in another way if I made it today thou.
